Utilita Bowl seating plan for a Test match
The Rod Bransgrove Pavilion and Hilton hotel face one another along the pitch. Shane Warne and Colin Ingleby-Mackenzie offer views across it, with the berm areas around the bowl. For a full Test day, consider how much open-air exposure suits your group: most seats have no roof. Compare the areas here, then consult the club’s international plan and your ticket details.
Last checked 13 October 2026. Match-specific arrangements take priority.

How the blocks and rows work at Utilita Bowl
The club uses lettered blocks within the larger stand areas. Its members’ seating description identifies A, B, W and X around the Pavilion. A stand name is therefore only the first part of a seat location: keep the block, row and seat details together when your allocation arrives. The official international plan is the useful reference for locating the price-band areas.
The club’s published ticket FAQ says members can select specific international seats, while other international tickets are generally bought within a price band and allocated about four weeks before the fixture. Follow the terms attached to your Ashes offer. A universal row-letter sequence or seat-number direction for every temporary and permanent section is TBC; the diagram here is an area comparison, not a seat-by-seat map. Ask the ticket office to explain an unclear allocation before making access arrangements.
Compare the complete day, not just the first over
For two Test days, decide whether you want a consistent viewpoint or a change. An end-on day followed by a side-on day gives two ways to follow the same batters and bowlers. Keep companions’ access requirements constant when changing areas: a different view is only worthwhile if the route remains comfortable for everyone.
Best seats for…
Shade after lunch
Start with a roofed Shane Warne row. Its western position puts later sunshine towards the side or rear, but exact shelter depends on the seat. This is an orientation-based choice; open lower rows still need sun protection.
Behind the bowler’s arm
Compare the Pavilion end first, selecting a place close to the pitch axis on the official plan. The Roof Terrace is a separate, open-air product; clarify the outdoor watching position and admission included.
Atmosphere with friends
Consider the West Berm for an outdoor boundary-side group day. This is a choice of setting, not a designated singing section. The club has not assigned a specific 2027 atmosphere block.

Families
Compare the Colin Ingleby-Mackenzie side for its nearby water and accessible toilets. If alcohol-free seating matters, request the event’s designated allocation: Q and R served that purpose in July 2026, while the Ashes allocation is TBC.
Wheelchair users
Use the East Berm guide to understand the level circulation route, then book a designated wheelchair viewing area with the club. The level berm does not mean every seat below it is step-free.

Parts of the Shane Warne and Colin Ingleby-Mackenzie stands have roof shelter. The Roof Terrace and berm seating are open. Check the actual row, since the club says most seats are uncovered.
Where is the best place to sit at Utilita Bowl?
Choose the Pavilion or Hilton end for an along-the-pitch view, and Shane Warne or Colin Ingleby-Mackenzie for a view across it. Shelter and access requirements help decide between those angles.
Does the Utilita Bowl seating plan show seat numbers?
The club’s public international plan shows seating areas and price bands. Use the official booking information and your allocated block, row and seat to locate the exact place.
Can I choose my own international seat?
The published FAQ allows Hampshire members to select international seats. Other international purchases generally use price bands, with seats allocated about four weeks before the fixture; check your Ashes offer’s terms.
