This guide brings the series together, while each ground guide covers the seats, gates, local transport and entry rules you need for the actual visit.
Ticket status as of 13 October 2026. Sales stages update from the published timetable; check live seat availability with the host ground.

How to get Ashes 2027 tickets
Ticketing is handled by each host ground. There is no single public ballot covering all five Tests. Member priority, public ballots and general sales run on different calendars, so keep a separate note for every ground you want to visit. An application or priority product is a step towards buying a seat; the booking confirmation is what you need before treating that match day as secured.
At Trent Bridge, use the Nottinghamshire account attached to your membership or ballot invitation. Have a second acceptable day and seating area ready when checking remaining availability. The ground guide explains the public price categories and age concessions, which matter when you compare the cost for a mixed-age party.
At Lord’s, the public Ashes ballot has a tighter allocation than the ground’s Bangladesh Test: the limit is two tickets for one day across the Ashes match. Apply through the official ticket account and keep the purchase invitation when it arrives. Check the seat view carefully, particularly if the available category includes a restricted view.
At Edgbaston, focus on the Test-specific status below. A general sale for other major matches does not mean Ashes seats have returned. Follow the club’s returns process and keep your account email current. If you receive an offer, compare the day, stand and whole trip cost before paying; the lively Hollies experience is a different choice from a quieter viewing area.
At the Utilita Bowl, follow the account and deadline attached to your own allocation. Hampshire membership and Priority Club arrangements have their own conditions, so check any remaining entitlement with the ticket team before buying another product. Contact the ground directly about accessible seating when the ordinary seat map does not answer your requirements.
At the Oval, Surrey membership category affects ticket entitlement. The public ballot and subsequent purchase window follow members’ allocations. Keep the Ashes separate from the ground’s World Test Championship Final: they are different fixtures with different ticket processes. Surrey’s official exchange is the route to check when you need to release an unwanted seat.

The five Ashes 2027 venues compared
The comparison puts the practical differences side by side. Capacity gives a sense of scale, while the atmosphere stand helps you choose the sort of day you want. An alcohol rule applies to what you may bring through the gate; individual stands can have additional restrictions. Open the linked ground guide before selecting a block.
| Ground | Capacity | Atmosphere / stand choice | Bring alcohol? | Station |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Trent Bridge | About 17,000 | No official party stand confirmed. Radcliffe Road offers an end-on view; Bridgford Road nearest Pavilion includes alcohol-free blocks. | No outside alcohol for international cricket. | Nottingham railway station: approximately 20-minute walk |
| Lord’s | 31,180 (MCC’s published 2021 figure; redevelopment affects future capacity) | compare ordinary public Compton/Edrich seats for the bowling-line view. Fancy dress banned. | Adult Test allowance: 750ml wine/champagne, or two 500ml beer/cider, or two 330ml aperitif cans; maximum 16% ABV. | St John’s Wood (Jubilee line); alternative stations suit different gates |
| Edgbaston | Just under 25,000 planned for July 2027 | Eric Hollies: club promotes it for adult groups and fancy dress; a lively choice for the day. | No outside alcohol. | Moseley Village: 15–20-minute walk; Birmingham New Street for the main interchange and selected match shuttles |
| Utilita Bowl | Up to 25,000 with all stands installed | No confirmed 2027 party stand. Choose the published 2027 seat map; most seating uncovered. | No outside alcohol at internationals. | Hedge End: about 35-minute walk; Southampton Airport Parkway is a longer-distance rail alternative |
| The Oval | Approximately 27,500 | JM Finn offers views around the Vauxhall End. | No outside alcohol at Tests. | Oval (Northern line) for the Pavilion End; Vauxhall (rail and Victoria line), six minutes to JM Finn end |

The women’s Ashes 2027 schedule
The women’s series adds a Headingley Test and white-ball matches at grounds across England. Use the separate fixtures below when building your trip: a women’s match can fit between men’s Tests, but check the actual dates and cities before buying both. Each fixture has its own ticket and travel arrangements.
Headingley is the Test destination for the women’s series. Leeds gives you a city-centre base with local rail and bus connections to the stadium; staying in Headingley puts the evening closer to the ground. The Headingley guide explains the Burley Park and Headingley station approaches, family seating and the ticket process.
| Ground | Format | Dates | First ball | Tickets |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Headingley | Ashes Test | 24–27 June 2027 | 11:00 | Official tickets |
| Trent Bridge | Ashes IT20 | 3 July 2027 | 19:00 | Official tickets |
| The Oval | Ashes IT20 | 6 July 2027 | 18:30 | Official tickets |

Planning a multi-Test Ashes trip
Build the journey around the days you have tickets for, then put the travel days between them. The men’s route moves from Nottingham to London, Birmingham, Southampton and back to London. Adding the women’s Test brings Leeds into the plan. Enter those city-to-city journeys in a rail planner once the dated timetable is available, and compare the complete hotel-to-gate journey.
For Trent Bridge, Nottingham station leaves an onward walk across the river to West Bridgford. Lord’s requires a London connection, with St John’s Wood, Marylebone and Baker Street offering different approaches. At Edgbaston, Birmingham New Street is a useful mainline arrival, followed by the walk or the event’s published local transport.
The Southampton leg needs particular attention to the final transfer. Hedge End is closest to the Utilita Bowl, while Southampton Airport Parkway is on the London Waterloo–Weymouth line. Choose the arrival station alongside your room and transfer plan. At the Oval, compare Oval and Vauxhall with the location of your hotel and your next mainline departure.
A rail ticket between cities does not settle the return after stumps. Leave room for a crowded ground exit, the local connection and any cross-London transfer. For consecutive days at one Test, a room that makes the evening journey easy may be worth more to you than a small saving on the nightly price.
Where to stay for an Ashes trip
Use the hotel guides below to choose an area before choosing a property. They separate rooms near the ground from city-centre bases and explain the final journey. For a two-night visit, compare the total cost with breakfast, parking or local transport included. Check the cancellation deadline as carefully as the distance.
Ashes 2027 FAQs
When do Ashes 2027 tickets go on sale?
Each host ground has its own timetable. Use the dated ticket-status lines above for the current stage at Trent Bridge, Lord’s, Edgbaston, the Utilita Bowl and the Oval. If you have a ballot offer, follow the purchase deadline in your own email.
What is the Ashes 2027 tickets release date?
There is no single release date for the whole series. Member allocations, public ballots, general sales and returned seats are handled separately by the five grounds. Select the match first, then follow its official ticket service and ground-specific sales timetable.
Where will England play Ashes cricket in 2027?
The men’s Tests are at Trent Bridge in Nottingham, Lord’s in London, Edgbaston in Birmingham, the Utilita Bowl near Southampton and the Oval in London. Headingley in Leeds hosts the women’s Test. The schedule above puts the men’s fixtures in series order.
What is the women’s Ashes 2027 schedule?
The women’s programme includes the Headingley Test and the IT20 and ODI fixtures listed above. Use that table for dates, venues and published start times, then follow the host ground’s ticket link. A women’s match requires its own ticket.
Can I buy one ticket for all five days of a Test?
Check the product in the host ground’s ticket system. A ticket for one day does not admit you to the other scheduled days. Match the date on every ticket with your accommodation booking, and read the separate conditions for any multi-day or hospitality package.
Can I travel between the Ashes venues by train?
Plan between Nottingham, London, Birmingham and Southampton, adding Leeds if you attend the women’s Test. Each ground needs a further walk or local connection from the mainline arrival. Use dated rail timetables and the individual ground travel guides before committing to a departure after play.
What happens if my Test match finishes early?
A Test can finish before its final scheduled day. Refund terms depend on the ground, ticket day and amount of play, so read the policy attached to your booking. Travel and hotel cancellation terms are separate from the match-ticket policy.
