Parking at Headingley for a Test match

Headingley’s women’s Ashes Test runs from 24–27 June 2027. Arrange parking separately from your match ticket: a seat in the ground does not reserve a place for the car. Yorkshire changed its parking arrangements for 2026, and those details are useful for understanding the area while the 2027 Test arrangements remain TBC. Start with the named car park on the booking, then work out the route to your entrance.

Last checked 13 October 2026. Match-specific arrangements take priority.

Is there parking at Headingley on Test days?

Yorkshire offers parking according to the fixture and available sites. Its current 2026 travel page directs prepaid general parking to Car Park K, Elida Gibbs Park, Stanmore Crescent, LS4 2RS. Purchases are online or through the ticket office; the gate does not take payment. A buggy links K with Gate B on St Michael’s Lane.

For 2026, Car Park F is unavailable to spectators and members, and Car Park A is reserved for broadcasting at televised and international matches. Those are season-specific arrangements, checked 13 October 2026. The 2027 Test parking price, opening time and final allocation are TBC. Wait for the match’s parking product before treating an older car-park name as your destination.

Beckett Park: park and stride

Yorkshire names Beckett Park, LS6 3QH, as the sole park-and-stride site for major fixtures in 2026. A third-party operator takes payment on arrival. Follow the signed pedestrian route to Gate G on Kirkstall Lane; the current page describes it as a short walk without giving a timed duration.

The 2027 service, charge and opening hours are TBC. Older Test guides quote prices and use a different postcode, so use the address in the new match instructions when these appear. Park and stride involves walking: establish whether that suits everyone travelling before choosing it over an arranged accessible space.

Council parking and private spaces

Leeds Council lists Burley Road and Kirkstall Road car parks. Its tariff, checked 13 October 2026, gives weekday parking of up to eight hours at £5.50 and up to ten hours at £6.90, with the charging period running from 8am to 10pm. Choose a duration that includes arrival before play and the return to your car. Council charging hours do not establish a guaranteed exit time; check the individual site notice.

These are city-side alternatives, not stadium car parks. The council does not publish a cricket-gate walking time in those listings. Plot the route before committing to a longer walk, or use a bus connection. West Street is another council option, described as ten minutes on foot from Leeds railway station, making it a possible parking-and-train combination.

JustPark and YourParkingSpace list reservable spaces around Headingley. Compare the actual address, cancellation terms, access hours and vehicle dimensions. A driveway booking covers that private space; it gives no permission to use neighbouring permit bays. These parking references are not affiliate links.

Residential streets and restrictions

Headingley’s community parking guide identifies permit areas including St Michael’s Crescent, parts of St Michael’s Lane and the Granby streets. Read the sign beside the space itself. A nearby bay may have different conditions, and a gap between parked cars does not establish that visitors can leave a vehicle there. Yorkshire also warns of temporary coning and asks drivers to keep driveways clear.

Blue Badge parking at Headingley

The updated travel page places limited matchday Blue Badge parking in Car Park J, booked online in advance with badge evidence. Its 2026 Test allocation is sold out; this says nothing about availability for June 2027. Yorkshire’s general accessibility page still refers to Car Park F, so follow the newer fixture-specific booking and its printed destination.

Ask Yorkshire about the route from the allocated space to your viewing position and any buggy service you need. Our Headingley accessibility guide brings together the seating and entrance information. Buy parking and accessible match tickets as separate arrangements unless the club explicitly includes both.

Better without a car

For visitors staying in Leeds, the train or a regular bus avoids finding and paying for a parking space. Yorkshire puts Headingley station about fifteen minutes from the Kirkstall Lane entrance and Burley Park five minutes from St Michael’s Lane. Consult the Getting there section and current timetables before choosing the station for your gate.

Leaving after stumps

Yorkshire warns that major-match exits can be delayed and St Michael’s Lane may operate one-way towards Cardigan Lane. Temporary closures can affect car-park access. Follow stewards and the day’s instructions. First Bus has also warned of delays before and after Headingley cricket; leave room in your plans for the journey back without assuming a fixed queue time.
