Parking at Trent Bridge for a Test match

Trent Bridge parking means choosing a place outside the ground and finishing on foot or by public transport. The useful comparison is between a reserved event space in West Bridgford and a tram park-and-ride site farther out. City-centre rail arrivals can often avoid that choice altogether: Nottingham station is within the club’s published walking route to the cricket.

Last checked 13 October 2026. Match-specific arrangements take priority.

Is there parking at Trent Bridge on Test days?

The club’s international parking guidance directs spectators to Bridge Field, postcode NG2 6AP, a short walk from the ground. General Test parking is off-site; there is no on-site accessible matchday parking either. Book against the event being attended instead of assuming an ordinary county-match car park is operating for the Ashes.

The travel page checked on 13 October 2026 still displayed an England–New Zealand Test listing: Bridge Field cost £10 for members and £12 for non-members. Those figures belong to that published listing. The 2027 Ashes price, sale date and opening hours are TBC. Bridge Field is described among the club’s car parks as around five minutes on foot from the ground.

Lady Bay, Bridge Field and the Embankment

Notts Sports Ground at Lady Bay has a separate booking route through Trent Bridge’s ticket site. The entrance is on Holme Road, NG2 5AA; the club gives a walk of about five minutes. Its routine parking listings cover other events as well as cricket, so select the exact Test date when an allocation is released. A football or domestic-cricket parking pass is not an Ashes reservation.

Victoria Embankment is another paid option in the club’s travel guidance. The vehicle approach is from Queens Drive and Riverside Way on the western side, using NG2 2GJ. The eastern approach beside Trent Bridge is closed to cars. Check that approach before following a saved route. A 2027 Test-specific Embankment tariff, opening time and walking time to your gate are TBC.

Nearby council car parks: read the whole-day price

Rushcliffe operates Bridgford Road, Nursery on Albert Road and Gordon Road car parks. They serve West Bridgford’s centre and are alternatives to investigate on the ground’s western side. The council does not publish a cricket-gate walking time for them. Their shared tariff has a sharp change after three hours: up to three hours costs £4, but over three hours costs £30, checked 13 October 2026.

Charges apply between 7am and 8pm daily, including bank holidays; the published maximum stay is 24 hours. Bridgford Road and Nursery have more spaces than Gordon Road. A short-stay shopping price is therefore a poor guide to the cost of a full Test day. Read the payment screen for your complete stay before walking away from the vehicle.

Street restrictions and private driveways

Nottinghamshire introduced the revised West Bridgford on-street charges on 31 March 2025. Even the first free thirty minutes requires a ticket. The parking order covers waiting restrictions and paid bays, including roads around the cricket ground. Use the signs beside the particular bay: old advice about unrestricted roadside parking can pre-date these changes.

Fox Road and Hound Road also appear in the county’s parking scheme, with resident-permit arrangements. A neighbouring street’s rules should not be applied to your chosen space. JustPark and YourParkingSpace offer private-space bookings; inspect the listing’s access hours, car dimensions and cancellation terms. Neither service is the club’s official event allocation, and there are no parking affiliate links here.

Blue Badge parking and set-down

Contact the club before booking if the walk from a car park would be difficult. For a pre-booked event car park, its accessibility guidance asks visitors to tell the steward about their access needs and request a place close to the exit. The suggested passenger set-down is at the top of Musters Road, near Dixon Gate. Volunteer meeting assistance can be arranged through info@trentbridge.co.uk.

Rushcliffe’s listed Blue Badge allowance at its three central West Bridgford car parks is two free hours, which does not cover a Test day. Agree the arrival route with the ticket office and consult the Trent Bridge accessibility guide before choosing your viewing position.

Better without a car: train or tram

Nottingham station is around twenty minutes’ walk from Trent Bridge according to the club. For drivers arriving on the A453, Clifton South provides a useful change to the tram. NET parking is free for tram passengers; purchase the appropriate fare for everyone travelling. The operator lists accessible bays and says park-and-ride sites open from first to last tram. Overnight parking needs prior permission.

The riverside walk from Meadows Embankment adds a separate outdoor stage to the journey. Compare the station and tram approaches in Getting there, particularly if anyone in the party needs a shorter walk.

Leaving after stumps

No fixed Ashes car-park exit delay is published. Use the opening and collection conditions supplied with your eventual parking booking. For park and ride, check the return tram to the actual site where you left the car: late services can terminate before the end of a line. NET publishes destination-specific last departures, including different Sunday times.
