Start with the match
Eden Gardens is our first Indian venue guide, with CAB contacts and the questions to resolve before choosing admission. Its November 2025 South Africa Test is now historical. The 2027 Border-Gavaskar programme announced by BCCI and reported by Cricket Australia uses Nagpur, Chennai, Guwahati, Ranchi and Ahmedabad; Kolkata is absent from that series.
Australia’s five scheduled Tests run from 21 January to 3 March 2027. Nagpur opens on 21 January, Chennai follows on 29 January, Guwahati on 11 February, Ranchi on 19 February and Ahmedabad on 27 February. These confirmed allocations offer a starting point for an India itinerary, but this site has not yet produced visitor guides for those five grounds. A schedule does not establish a ticket price or sales date.
The older inventory also records BCCI’s revised 2025 arrangements. West Indies played at Ahmedabad and New Delhi; South Africa were allocated Kolkata and Guwahati. Those revisions swapped the intended locations of two fixtures, a practical reason to revisit the board’s latest notice before paying for accommodation. Read each row’s season and keep historic hosting separate from current travel plans.
After identifying the match, find the host association’s instructions. The booking process may include collection or identification steps that matter as much as the seat itself. Ask who must attend collection and where it takes place if the sale leaves those points unclear. Do not rely on a previous IPL visit to settle the procedures for an international Test.
Build a trip around time at the ground rather than trying to fit every city into one tour. For consecutive Tests, check the journey between the two actual venues and leave room for delays. In Kolkata, our guide explains why block codes and gates are a stronger reference than an older stand label. At any venue, establish the route and facilities you need before selecting a ticket.
